I didn't watch the Superbowl. I am a bad American.

February 1st, 2009 (10:17 pm)

current mood: pensive
current song: "Chinese" -- Lily Allen

Or not. Instead I watched the Simpsons and reveled in the glory of Lily Allen's new record.

I've got this art project where I have to ~express myself~ and make it about my personality, but idk what kind of person I actually am. Also, I'm not sure how to communicate my particular brand of feminist politics into a shoe sculpture.

temporary!ONTD tells me I shouldn't put up with misogynistic teacher bullshit any longer. Neither ONTD nor its temporary counterpart has ever lied to me before. Hence...

I drink from the keg of glory, Donna; bring me the finest muffins and bagels in all the land

January 26th, 2009 (09:51 pm)

current song: Rachel Maddow is on!

1. No more braces!
2. Haircut tomorrow!
3. prayin' to Heathus for snow
4. four-day weekend!
5. "Slumdog Millionaire" was excellent
6. Dream Boy has not been online in ages. I wonder where he is.

what kind of fuckery is this?

March 1st, 2008 (03:59 pm)
current song: "Me and Mr. Jones" Amy Winehouse

We filmed our stupid-ass play for English today. AT MY HOUSE. AWKWARD. AGHHH.

Yesterday I had told Kunjisha that she should try to come a little before Teddy and Nana, so it wouldn't be awkward, but she got lost so AHHH. It was a little awful.

But it's cool, we finished it so I never have to worry about this again. I hated our topic, though. The Estates General? Hell no.

And KT likes M.I.A. now. Hooray!

pissed off

current mood: pissed off
current song: "Last Nite" live at T in the Park. ty, youtube.

Why today is nice
-got some candy. good candy, too
-wore my gray dress and fierce black heels
-made origami
-got to play with the atom model things in chem.
-basically no homework (OK, I should do that article for driver's ed, but I can always turn in two next week)
-downloaded albums by Amy Winehouse, MGMT, and Mark Ronson. Also, a Moldy Peaches song and a Kinks song. Major.
-the Daily Show gets their writers back soon!!! Huzzah!
-Lost tonight!
-I found that documentary-thing with the Strokes on youtube last night, and Kyle and I shared some lulz over it.
-Jane Fonda said 'cunt' on the Today Show. The funny thing is that people are actually getting worked up over it.
-I found what I believe to be the best version of "Last Nite" ever. Julian sounds so much better when he's not loaded. Hooray, sobriety!

The only shitty things I can think of about today are that we took SIX PAGES AGGHHHHH of notes in AP, and that apparently my school principal shot a cougar and intends to have it stuffed and mounted at school. Something tells me I'm going to be writing an angry letter, especially since according to the IUCN the North American cougar is CRITICALLY ENDANGERED, HELLO.

Am I getting too worked up over it? Probably. But I am prepared to be kind of rude and bitchy when it comes to the environment. Way to ruin my good day, hunters.

P.S. I endorse hunting, actually. But only when SERIOUSLY REGULATED SO THAT POPULATIONS ARE KEPT IN CHECK.

taste the happy, michael!

February 1st, 2008 (10:00 pm)

current mood: awake

...tastes kinda like sad.

Why today is awesome:

-Arrested Development movie! Huzzah!
-Two-hour delay for NO REASON.
-did almost nothing in school
-salt bagel for breakfast tomorrow, then working out
-had a nap on the couch whilst listening to the Strokes
-I GET TO SEE MUFFIN. OMGHOORAY. I miss him so much.

Also I rediscovered this:

30 january

January 30th, 2008 (10:41 pm)
current song: "All The Young Dudes" -- Mott the Hoople

Made brownies for Kyle's birthday. They are kind of mushy and not brownie-shaped, but Dad and Hayley say they are good. I am not a brownie aficionado, I wouldn't know.

No Project Runway tonight. Damn it all.

Giuliani dropped out of the race, hells yeah! Suck it.

Got an A in English last quarter. Fuck yes. I am so, so happy. I even got an A on that essay I wrote on the Merchant of Venice that I didn't finish that I was pulling my hair out over during that weekend we were in New York.

I feel like I need a new icon to use, but part of me cannot bear to part with Justin jumping about like some sort of ballerina. And the Matches are playing on 9 April. I'll have to sit through All Time Low and some other shitty bands (have I ever mentioned how much I hate All Time Low? I should sometime), but it's alright.

Mom and I are going to the National Portrait Gallery on Saturday or something to see Colbert's portrait hanging over the water fountain. Must find my camera somewhere.

"Graded discussion" for AP tomorrow. Goddamn.

"why does everybody I like end up being crazy?"

October 29th, 2007 (04:58 pm)

current mood: tired
current song: "Sorry, Brooklyn, Dancing Won't Solve Anything" -- Bomb The Music Industry!

We were learning how to do direct quotations during Japanese today, and Ramsey gives us some examples to use: Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, and Tom Cruise. Upon our realization that these are all celebrities that she likes, Ramsey goes "Why does everybody I like end up being crazy?" Then we reminisced about how awesome Thriller was.

So I'm going to dye my hair orange for Halloween (I have extra time on Wednesday morning because of collaboration days, score!).

halloween costumes, bad puns, lots of rain

October 26th, 2007 (10:18 pm)

current mood: sleepy

-lots and lots of rain
-had a berries-and-creme lollipop. It looked like an eyeball but it was fab.
-I hate geometry and everything geometry-related even more than I did on Wednesday.
-"Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" on Disney Channel
-Trainspotting is rather hard to understand; I have to read it aloud

Kyle and I are going trick-or-treating together this year, I am going to be Johnny Rotten, he is going to be Santa. It'll be awesome.
